Hunter S. Thompson Fear & Loathing
You'll start in the gorgeous sunrise from Twin Peaks, the highest vista point in the city, with the entire city under your feet. The single loop course, 50 Kilos or 50 Miles, leads you to all the tourist spots on foot. You'll navigate with errors and practice the art of getting lost. In the end, you'll get back to the finish where your car awaits, one way or the other.
This is a fat ass event, “No Fees, No Awards, No Aid, No Wimps.” However, we are kind and generous enough to provide aid stations like those races you pay dearly. If you are brave enough to make the 4hr 45min or 11:45 am cutoff at mile 25, you are good to go for the 50 miler. Or you'll be on your own. Otherwise, we'll suggest that you turn to the 50K route before we head back home.
