Hootenanny 50k

Nestled below looming Lolo Peak and above the floor of the Bitterroot Valley, you will find Montana's only 100k, the Hootenanny. With appx. 11,000' of climbing this five lap course is perfect for a debut 100k attempt and seasoned veterans. The course follows pristine single track designed, built, and maintained by the land owner and can only be used during race weekends. Views of the Bitterroot mountains and high banked turns make this a wonderful trail to run whether your eyes are up or down.

But enough of the course description! It wouldn't be a Hootenanny without a party! Due to the looping nature of the course runners are never far from the next festive aid station. With all the food, music, and potential dance parties, you may find yourself running faster just to get back to the aid station.
