Wild pigs have long thrived in the semi tropics of central Florida. When a group of these tusked tenacious critters gets together they’re known as a sounder. They can be seen running along the black water banks dodging gators, and cooling in their muddy wallows under the cabbage palms. Come join the Sounder in the Little Big Econ State Forest, December 12, 2020. Run on a beautiful and well maintained single track section of the Florida Trail in Oviedo, FL alongside one of the finest blackwater rivers Florida has to offer . With little elevation gain and practically zero technical sections the Hog Waller is a perfect race for a first ultra or those looking to set a new PR. This beautiful section of trail is home to many different types of wildlife; we often encounter wild boar, white-tailed deer, snakes and alligators. The course will consist of 7 laps around a 4.5 mile loop.
