Hamakua 360
The Hamakua 360
360 Miles. 200 Hours. 60 Runners. One Island. Zero Comfort.
Aloha.
If you are reading this, you probably aren't looking for a vacation. You are looking for something that will strip you down, chew you up, and rebuild you. Welcome to the Hamakua 360.
This is not just a footrace around the Big Island of Hawaii; it is a complex equation of calorie math, sleep deprivation, and biomechanical survival. We cut the resorts and umbrella drinks out of the map because you are not flying across the Pacific for a tan. You came for the Mana. The aid stations are stocked with Aloha, but you are the captain of your own suffering.
Come a hollow man. Leave a Pele Warrior.
THE DEETS
You will traverse eight of Earth’s climate zones on a single course.
The Distance: 360 miles of "Hawaiian Flat" (which doesn't exist).
The Vert: 55,000 ft of Ascent (The Spiritual Tax) and 59,000 ft of Descent (The Physical Punishment).
The Terrain: You will fight for traction on shifting sand, navigate razor-sharp 'a'a lava fields that eat shoes for breakfast, and slip through the mossy, root-choked gulches of the jungle.
The Air: From the crushing humidity of the Hilo coast to the freezing, thin air of the Mauna Kea & Mauna Loa summits (13,000+ ft).
