Genoa Peak Ultra Madathon 55K

For those who love Lake Tahoe, this new ultra starts in the historic Town of Genoa, NV. The course climbs from downtown Genoa(4765ft) to the top of Genoa Peak(9150ft) in the first 13miles. At the summit runners will have 360 degree views of the Carson Valley to the east and all of Lake Tahoe to the west. From the top the peak runners will then complete a 7 mile loop that takes them north along the ridge above Tahoe until it connects with the Tahoe Rim Trail. Runners will then take the Rim Trail south back to Sierra Canyon Trail before dropping back down to the town of Genoa where a cold be awaits them at Nevada's oldest thirst parlor, the Genoa Bar.
