Gabrielino 50K

The Gabrielino 50K is an epic trail run event (limited to 15 participants for permit reasons) that will follow almost ⅔ of the actual Gabrielino National Recreational Trail, the first established National Recreational Trail in the US! This trail run will start from Lizzie’s Trail Inn in Sierra Madre. Please note that this route will be following an alternate route that is parallel to the eastern portion of the Gabrielino Trail that has been indefinitely closed since the 2020 Bobcat Fire. This epic run will start you climbing over 5,000 ft in elevation to the summit of Mt. Wilson before descending on the Kenyon Devore trail to hop on to the Gabrielino Trail for the rest of this event. The run will finish at the JPL parking area which is adjacent and just west of the west end of the Gabrielino trailhead.

IMPORTANT: There will be only one aid station at the halfway point of this trail run event! You must carry enough food and fluids to sustain you for the last 15 miles - however, there will be several stream crossings where you can get water if you carry a filter with you.
