Frozen Sasquatch Trail Race

Experience the Kanawha State Forest in the middle of winter for the Frozen Sasquatch 25k/50k. The race is located just south of Charleston, West Virginia and is the first WVMTR race of the year.
Beginning with a steady incline to the top of the mountain, the course features mostly single track trails through the gorgeous West Virginia hills. Designed as a two loop course, the usual snow covered forest reveals the bright winter sun during the 2nd loop. Those running the 50k distance will make two trips around the 25k loop. Beards, pony tails, and eye lashes are often covered in icicles and snow after this wintry event. Be sure to watch for Sasquatch lurking in the woods!
