Freight Train 100k/50k

The Freight Train 50k/100k is a companion race to the summertime Night Train 50k. It takes place on the same trail but happens in the winter. The course features a Half Marathon, a 50k and 100k option. It is a relatively flat rail trail. There is a slight incline in each direction as you leave the starting line. Total elevation gain is less than 1500 feet for the 100k. If the weather cooperates, this should be a fast course. The race begins at 7:30am and ends at 2:30am. There is a 19 hour time limit for the 100k. The only time limit for 50k runners is that they have to finish before the 19 hour cutoff for the 100k runners. This makes it a great first time Ultra! All runners will pass over the famed “High Bridge” twice during their run.
