Free Spirit 50K
Come run a 50K in a place you've never heard of! Our run starts in Leyden, Massachusetts for a tour of the spectacular countryside in Western Mass and Southern Vermont. This is the most scenic running that New England has to offer! The course is one loop, on very runnable dirt roads with a few short trail sections and paved sections. Total elevation over the course is 4281 ft. We are runners, and we take pride in having crafted a course with beauty around every turn. The uplifting views will make you forget the pain of getting up those hills!
The start and finish of the race are at the town hall. Post-race, runners can relax with real food and a fresh beer, hang out with old and new friends, and cheer fellow runners across the line.
Our race takes place in a tiny town. You won't find crowds or pounding music (a bagpiper, yes!). We are intentionally keeping this event small and beautiful. The field is limited to 100 runners, so make sure you get your spot!
