Fort Steilacoom Trail Run

Ft. Steilacoom Park, located just south of Tacoma, Washington is an urban park in the Pacific Northwest with hundreds of trails crisscrossing through open fields, lakes, forests and grasslands. The courses are fast with not a lot of climb, and feature a great variety of trails, terrain, and vegetation. We offer 5K, 10K, Half-Marathon (13.1 Mile), Marathon (26.2 Mile) and 50K options . There will be plenty of aid stations and the courses are well marked with signs at intersections. The courses start and finish at the main Ft. Steilacoom Shelter. For you history buffs out there, Ft. Steilacoom was constructed in 1849 and played a significant role in the settling of Washington Territory. The Fort is still there today and open for tours, (here's some information). This park features a state-of-the-art playground, an amazing off-leash dog park, many picnic shelters, and a small lake with a paved walking path encircling its shoreline. Great place to invite the whole family if you're so inclined! This event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field.
