Epic Sedona

One of the most epic destination trail races ever!

This incredible adventure is limited to just 25 participants with staggered starts so we are practicing social distancing at the start line. Distances being offered are 40 miles, and a marathon. Cut off for both distances is 10.5 hours. All runs will be held on legally open trails
. It will be marked exceptionally well.
. Each run will offer a beautiful finisher medal handmade in the USA, and an awesome finishers shirt made in the USA
. Each individual run will have precise results that will be loaded to ultrasignup the same day as the fun run
. These fun runs can be ran as competitive as you want. If you choose to run it fast then feel free to! Your finish time will be recorded 100% accurately from the time you start to the time you finish.
. Each distance will have two wave starts so as to not ever have a group of more than 15 people together in one spot
. When you finish your run you will collect your finisher medal, shirt, and cold bottled water (which will be sanitized/wiped and in a sanitized/wiped gallon ziplock bag). Results will be posted that day on ultrasignup.
AID STATIONS: You will have a handful of aid stations along your route that you will hit on your “out and back” course. These aid stations will be zero contact aid stations. Runners are not allowed under to touch anything at the aid station. You must enter the minimal aid station, open your own pack or bottle, and the volunteer will pour water or electrolyte for you while the volunteer wears gloves. There will be no opened food or cups.
Aid stations will have: Water, Fluid electrolyte, GU gels, Spring energy gels, packaged chips, tons of pre-packaged snacks/treats, and ice

Route: Both courses are a mix if single track and double track trails. The marathon is an out and back. The 40 miler is two different "out and backs" and will run through two different parks. This 40 mile course is moderately technical. Elevation gain is relatively on the easier end with only 4,511 feet of gain and loss. The marathon course has around 3,000 feet of gain.
