Creede, CO

The Creede 100 start and finishes in one of Colorado’s true historic mining towns. Creede once drew a rough and tumble crowd with its abundant silver, now we flock their because of the abundant beauty. The race starts right in town where every year the mining traditions are carried on in Basham Park. There are a lot of sites to see for your crew, pacers and yourself, including but not limited to the scenic Bachelor loop where you can step out of your vehicle right into the 1800s, Creede’s one of a kind underground mining museum and North Clear Creek Falls one of Colorado’s most spectacular water falls. For those of you who are taking on this beast of a race you will get to see some of the most amazing country the San Juan Mountains have to offer, climbing to above 12,000 feet and hanging out up there where the views and the elevation will take your breath away on some pristine single track. Once on top the Continental Divide will take you across the top of the world for 25 miles then drop you off into the birth place of the Rio Grande River. Then its time to head back, taking a different route back up to the top of the world then back across and again taking a different and absolutely beautiful route dropping you back down into the town of Creede.
