Stockton, UT

Conquer the hills and mountains where General Patrick Connor and his soldiers staked mining claims in the early 1860's!

Starting at an elevation of 5,800 ft, you will make your way up rugged ATV and mining roads until you reach the top of Dry Canyon (8,230 ft), overlooking the ruins of Jacob City, founded in 1865. Descending Dry Canyon, you will run by old mine shaft openings, and old ore bin, and other relics of the past. After exiting Dry Canyon and losing all your elevation gain, you will follow the pole line road north, back to the Jacob City Trailhead.

Next, you will wend your way west through juniper trees, to the mouth of Soldier Canyon Rd. Climb this road 1,500 ft up until you get to the South Fork of Soldier Canyon Rd - a steep, gnarly road, bringing you 1,700 ft up to a saddle overlooking Soldier and Ophir Canyons.

From here, continue southwest, another 1,000 ft to the high point of the course (9,500 ft), looking down on Jacob City and the beautiful Rush Valley to the west. Now, bomb 7.25 miles and 3,700 ft back to the finish line!

If you finish, you will have covered 30 miles of beautiful, rugged terrain, with 7,500 ft of vert!
