Coast To Coaster

Basic Information

Coast to Coaster is a 232 mile road race. It is a journey run in the spirit of HOTS or LAVS.

If you sign up as needing a ride and hotel, you will leave your vehicle at Kings Island in Mason Ohio the day before the race and be transported to. Hotel near the start in Sandusky.

In past years we have stopped for a tour of Ohio State Reformatory. We may do this again, or mix it up with something else of similar value.

All runners will provided with trackers. You will be given a link to share with family and friends showing your location.

The Details

This is a journey run. You will be running on public roads. Don't expect any assistance from the race staff. You are responsible for your well-being. There are stores, restaurants and hotels along the route. It is up to you to strategize when to sleep and when you need to stock up for any supply deserts.

This is a great warmup for a race like HOTS or Vol State.

Rules

1. Crews are allowed. Crews may carry supplies for the participants. Crewed runners may shelter in their crews vehicle. Runners cannot be transported by any vehicle.

2. Safety - This is the top priority. If anyone is behaving in a way that puts theirs or others safety in danger, they will be pulled from the course.
3. Respect - treat other participants, and locals with respect. Your behavior is a reflection of the event and runners in general. Act as positive ambassadors to help grow the event!

More details will be provided. Basically, use common sense. Don't try to cheat the system. Stay on the course. If you make an error - return to the course where you stepped off.
