Cedro Peak
The Cedro Peak Trail Run features 50K and 25K distances. The event takes place in the Cibola National Forest on beautiful single track and jeep dirt trails which wind through ponderosa pine and pinon forests, scrub oak, and meadow areas. With views of the Sandia and Manzano Mountains, both routes are a good mix of climbs and descents as well as very runnable flatter sections. The terrain ranges from flowy single track to technical rocky sections. The Cedro Peak Trail Run is the original ultra trail race in the East Mountain/Cibola National Forest just east of Albuquerque, and has enjoyed a long history of participants from both local and out of state; many of whom return to run the event year after year. This is an event operated by local runners and volunteers for runners and for the love of trail running and community.
Participation will be limited to an overall 300 with a waitlist. Entry includes a race t-shirt, finisher award to all who complete their race, professional photography, race timing, post-race refreshments, well stocked aid stations and amazing volunteers.
