Brutal. And Beautiful. A 1.25 mile loop that has a bit of everything: technical single track, a stairway to heaven, access to one of the finest overlooks in the region, and a stone tower. You will be on the very top of Fort Mountain for 6, 12, or 24 hours of running. You’ll also accumulate 300ft of elevation gain per loop. OUCH! I'm pretty sure no one's going to hit 100 miles. But if you do, you'll hit more gain than the famous Western States Endurance Run over the same distance. Challenge accepted, anyone? The course is 90% dirt/trail. There is a staircase to go up plus the paved area where aid is at the Start/Finish.
