Beyond Black & Back

Beyond Black & Back is the third and final race in the Hallucination Runs Summer Night Series. Beyond Black & Back offers the following races: 5K, 10K, half-marathon, marathon and 100K. All races begin and end at Equestrian Park South in the City of Henderson. The course follows the paved asphalt path from Equestrian Park South to the River Mountains Loop Trail. Once on the River Mountains Loop Trail, the course will be run on the 11 mile paved asphalt portion of the trail that is controlled by the City of Henderson (as highlighted in the course pictures). An out & back format will be used with turn-arounds dictated by race distance. The River Mountains Loop Trail showcases the best of the Mojave Desert, from spectacular desert landscape to native wildlife like the desert tortoise and bighorn sheep. While enjoying the River Mountains Loop Trail during the day is certainly fun, running the dark loop at night is a must experience for all runners. Since the trail is mainly away from buildings and modern civilization, it lacks light pollution. Running in darkness without light pollution, views become spectacular as you run Beyond Black & Back.
