6633 Arctic Ultra

The 6633 Arctic Ultra: Yukon Edition isn't just a race, it is an adventure and an expedition ending when you reach the Arctic Circle and experience some of the most extreme and most beautiful landscapes on the planet. 

Passing through the Tombstone National Park and taking in the sites of the Ogilvie Mountains, this is not a race to be taken lightly. The full distance covers over 12,000 feet of elevation through all the weather conditions the Arctic can throw at you. You have biting cold, sometimes lower than -50 degrees celsius, big elevation and a big distance to cover. You are, however, rewarded with breathtaking sites and amazing views in a one of the worlds most magical places. You may even be treated to some of the Yukon's stunning wildlife.

The race is a 250 mile non-stop, self supported race with the option to finish at 120 mile mark as a finisher of the 120 distance. Participants will be tested to their limited on this route, physically and mentally. Make no mistake, rolling hills with endless ups and Arctic weather conditions make this one of the toughest races you can be part of.

The 6633 Arctic Ultra: Classic Edition 380-mile race starts at Eagle Plains Hotel which is approximately 225 miles from the Dawson junction on the Klondike Highway. It is a solitary hotel and fuel stop and is the only oasis for a meal, bed and gas until you reach the First Nations Hamlet of Fort McPherson. You will receive a very warm welcome here from both the Owner and staff and you will hopefully also get a good night’s sleep the night before the start. The start line is directly outside the hotel amid stunning scenery with the beautiful Richardson Mountains to your right.
