Mass Extinction Elimination Challenge: Ice Age

Welcome to the Mass Extinctions Elimination Challenge: Ice Age. The mild winters of South Carolina may not bring arctic winds, white-out snowfall, or anything too wild, but the name was begging to be used.

Thanks to Lancaster Parks and Recreation, we are able to hold the Ice Age on the Bailes Ridge Nature Trail again. The partnership has been seamless and easy over the years and we certainly appreciate that.

The classic 1.1-mile loop will be used for Ice Age as well. The structure will be the same as the original with a few updates. We will be testing out a few changes with this event. We will have the loop number and time requirement for completion easily visible throughout the event.

The structure and rules:
Each 1.1-mile loop will have a group start and finish time requirement. The first loop must be completed within 16:00 minutes. The time allowed to complete each loop will decrease by 10 seconds every loop. All loops will be a full-field start. Sprint, jog, walk, prance, dance, or crawl, the choice is yours... just get back before the next lap starts. Those who fail to get across the line within the allotted time are eliminated and can not continue. Hang out, have a good time make friends talk about how you will do better in the next one.
