The 3rd race in our Florida Trail series, the Aucilla River Trail Run is more scenic beauty. This is not a PR course but you will be taking lots of photos. 
The Florida Trail runs for 16 miles along the Aucilla River. The Aucilla is one of the most scenic and unique rivers in the world. The northern part of the course, which the 50k and 25k see, goes along the Aucilla river before it literally goes under ground on its way to the Gulf. It then creates hundreds of beautiful sink holes all uniquely different. The Florida Trail winds along these sink holes and even goes over and across the river which is right below you! 

All races start and finish at the same place. There are 3 different and unique loops. The 50k does all 3 and the first one in the dark with headlamps. The 25k 2 of the loops. The 10k does the smaller loop. All mileage is ish. The point of the race is to have fun, be safe and see beautiful landscape from the trail!  
The 50k is 10 miles of dirt road with a beautiful sunrise mixed in. This is at the beginning and meant to be fast and easy to navigate in the dark. Then you hit single trail on the Florida Trail.
