We had an epic weekend of ultrarunning action with over 55 events taking place across North America. While we only have space to list the top finishers from a handful of races, we’d love to hear your stories. Where did you race? Did you hit your goals? How many ultras have you finished? Drop us a line in the comments below or on social media.

Cruising over to Arizona, we check in on the Mogollon Monster 100 where a controlled burn closed a section of the National Forest, resulting in a last-minute reroute. Fortunately, Arizona’s lone Hardrock 100 qualifier went off without a hitch. In the women’s race, Teresa Shiflett earned the win in 29:28:34. Maia Detmer placed second (30:53:19) and Amanda Jamrogiewicz (30:56:06) finished just behind her in third. In the men’s event, the top three finishers all cracked the sub-24-hour barrier. Kilian North took the win in 22:37:25. Edher Ramirez finished second (23:40:04) and Buck Blankenship claimed (23:48:45). Full results here.
Our next stop takes us to Kaysville, Utah, for one of the classic North American 100-milers and a Grand Slam of Ultrarunning event, the Wasatch 100. Jimmy Elam put on a show in the men’s race, taking the lead early on and never looking back. Elam’s winning time of 19:08:35 is the second-fastest-ever run on the historic course, ranking only behind Geoff Roes’ CR (18:30:55) set back in 2009. Jose Cruz placed second (20:27:42), and Tyler Fannin (21:13:32) took third. In a tightly contested women’s race, Elizabeth Butler (26:22:10) claimed the victory, crossing the finish line less than 5 minutes ahead of second-place finisher Laura Hansen (26:26:43). Andrea McAffee completed the podium in third. Full results here.
