Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! In this week’s Ultra Weekend Recap, we feature results from Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Utah. Congratulations to everyone who raced this weekend and be sure to check out all the results on the UltraRunning Magazine results page.

Kettle Moraine Endurance Runs

We kick things off in La Grange, Wisconsin, for the 28th running of the Kettle Moraine Endurance Runs (100-mile, 100k, 50k and 38-mile ultramarathon distances). There were 137 runners who crossed the finish line in the 100-mile race to earn their Kettle Moraine buckles. First-place overall honors went to Reese Slobodianuk, who set a new course record in 14:15:22. Slobodianuk took nearly an hour off the previous course best which had stood since 2009. Brandon Talisesky was the second man across the line in 17:06:55. Dustin Parish finished third (18:28:42). Emily Muhs (19:43:54) earned the win and finished fifth overall in the women’s race. Lindsey Duffield (21:48:43) was runner-up, and Mary Kronable rounded out the female podium in third (22:04:19).

Rachel Ragona won the women’s 100k and finished fourth overall in 10:50:04. Taylor Slade took the men’s 100k title in 9:42:32. Drew Dinan traded the tropics of the Florida Keys for the trails of Bend, OR. Once living the Jimmy Buffett lifestyle, working on fishing boats and owning only a single pair of flip flops, he now has way too many running shoes in his closet and never hears the end of it from his loving wife. He is on a constant quest to find the best happy hours, likes to complain when it’s cold outside, and one day hopes to travel the country writing reviews on chicken wings.
